Memory Impairment Workshop

FISH OF SANCAP, in partnership with the Captiva Civic Association, invites community members to a Memory Impairment Workshop on Wed., Mar. 9 beginning at 1:00p. This will be an in-person event hosted at the Captiva Civic Association, 11550 Chapin Lane, Captiva as well as a virtual event via Zoom, and led by The Dubin Center.  

The Dubin Center provides assistance and support to persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia and their caregivers by offering assistance through information and referrals, counseling, health education, and crisis intervention.  In this workshop, participants will gain insight into what it is like to live with a memory impairment and how to navigate through the challenges of caring for someone with a dementia related illness.

States Jennifer Pagano, FISH, “This is an opportunity for anyone who is caring for or knows someone with a dementia-related illness to learn more about specific needs.  Information about care, behaviors, resources, living arrangements or daily challenges will be openly discussed, with time allotted for questions and answers”.
