Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market supports the 2023 FISH OF SANCAP 10K/5K and Music Festival  

The FISH OF SANCAP 2023 10K/5K and Music Festival is scheduled for Sat., Dec. 2, 2023 to support the local nonprofit organization. FISH continues to seek sponsors for the fundraising event. Sponsorships are critical to the event’s success as funds raised benefit FISH. FISH answers all requests for assistance by providing hands-on services to disaster survivors including long-term recovery assistance and mental health counseling and resources.

Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market has been actively supporting its community since 1978 when the 150 seat steakhouse opened its doors at 975 Rabbit Road on Sanibel Island, Florida. The Timbers, named for the beautiful wooden beans and ceiling, was a joint venture of Jim Keiser of Naples Florida, and brothers Jim and Kipp Foster of Pittsford, New York. Twenty-five year old Matt Asen from New York City, NY was hired as a general manager, and that’s how it all began.

The FISH race event will begin and end at the Sanibel Community House on Dec. 2, 7:30am, offering two lengths, a 10K and a 5K. The FISH Sound+Waves music festival, hosted by ‘Tween Waters, will begin at 5pm on Dec. 2. The concert will be performed on the beach, followed by fireworks. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
