In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, FISH of SanCap is mobilizing to support the community by providing much-needed relief and resources. Despite ongoing recovery challenges, such as no power or working water, FISH is committed to remaining a resource and lifeline for the community in this critical time.
FISH has set up a Point of Distribution (POD) at the Sanibel Community House complete with an emergency food pantry pop-up, ice, water, Publix gift cards, cleaning supplies, tarps, and specialized disaster kits for seniors. The distribution will take place today and continue until 4pm or until supplies are exhausted.
“We know how crucial it is to get these essential items into the hands of our community members as quickly as possible,” said Maria Espinoza, Executive Director of FISH. “Our team is working tirelessly to ensure that everyone who needs help can access it.”
FISH is grateful to partner with World Central Kitchen, who has generously offered to provide 400 hot BBQ meals for community members.
