Join FISH OF SANCAP for their exciting Friendly Faces Luncheon! Enjoy delicious lunches, connect with the community, and hear from speakers who bring learning opportunities to every event. Islanders, friends, and family are invited to the upcoming Friendly Faces Luncheon on Tues., Nov. 12 beginning at 11:00 am. This community event offers a complimentary lunch, prepared by The Sanibel Deli, and an opportunity to reconnect with neighbors and friends.
“We are grateful to the Sanibel Recreation Center and The Sanibel Deli for their support in making our monthly event possible,” says Erika Arnowitz, Senior Services Director at FISH. “These luncheons provide an opportunity to reconnect and learn from our guest speakers, and we look forward to welcoming everyone in November.”
The luncheon will be held at the Sanibel Recreation Center, located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, and a virtual option is available. Reservations and meal choices are required by Fri., Nov. 8 by contacting Erika Arnowitz at FISH at 239-472-4775. Zoom instructions will be provided upon registration for virtual guests. Please note that meals are only provided for in-person guests.
In November, FISH is pleased to welcome Jennifer Dorning, a District One representative of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as the guest speaker who will speak about recent infrastructure projects including the restoration of the Sanibel Causeway. Jennifer lives in Iona with her husband Johnny and their son who attends 4th grade at The Sanibel School. Their roots run deep, as they vacationed on Captiva for many years and were even married at the Chapel by The Sea. Jennifer has 20 years of experience as public outreach consultant for transportation and infrastructure projects throughout southwest Florida, and is proud to represent FDOT on the Emergency Restoration of the Sanibel Causeway.
FISH encourages all to join this informational lunch. “We hope everyone will join us for our November luncheon to connect with others and learn about critical infrastructure projects that impact our community—it’s an opportunity to hear more about the future of our roads and why staying informed is so important. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today!” For more information on the Friendly Faces Luncheon or to RSVP, please contact Erika Arnowitz at 239-472-4775.
