From August 3 through August 7, FISH of SanCap is launching the Neighbor Network Community Challenge, inviting residents, visitors, and members of the workforce to explore the islands, spot Neighbor Network window stickers, and support the local businesses that help strengthen the community.
The campaign encourages participants to keep an eye out for the official Neighbor Network window sticker displayed by participating businesses, snap a photo of the sticker or storefront, and share it in the comments on the FISH Facebook page or by email to simon@fishofsancap.org. Be sure to include the name of the business in your photo as well as your full name, email address, phone number and preferred method of communication.
Keep an eye on the FISH Facebook page to see what participant submissions! All participants are eligible for a chance to win a $20 Magic Bus gift certificate prize.
Participants are encouraged to avoid including identifiable people in their photos whenever possible. Official rules are available at https://fishofsancap.org/neighbor-network/. No purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The Neighbor Network Challenge runs from August 3 through August 7, 2026, 5:00pm. Note, this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta/Facebook.
The Neighbor Network connects local businesses, organizations, and community members with FISH, helping ensure people know where to turn when they or someone they know needs assistance. Participating businesses display the Neighbor Network window sticker as a sign that they support the community and can connect individuals with information, resources, and services available through FISH.
“Every Neighbor Network sticker represents a business that believes in looking out for others,” said Simon Robson, Community Outreach and Resiliency Director at FISH. “This campaign is a fun way to introduce more people to the program while recognizing the businesses that have joined us in creating a stronger, more connected community.”
One winner will be selected at random on Monday, August 10th to receive the gift card generously donated by The Magic Bus. FISH will also recognize the winner on social media.
“One of the best parts of living and working on Sanibel and Captiva is the way businesses, nonprofits, and neighbors support one another,” said Maria Espinoza, Executive Director of FISH. “This campaign shines a light on those partnerships while encouraging everyone to explore the community and learn more about the Neighbor Network.”
Businesses participating in the Neighbor Network are also encouraged to share the campaign on their own social media pages and invite customers to join the fun.
The Neighbor Network continues to grow as more businesses choose to become part of a community wide effort that helps ensure people know where to turn when they need support.
