FISH of SanCap is bringing a little extra holiday cheer to the islands with an afternoon of holiday crafts, sweet treats and time spent with friends and neighbors.
The organization will host Holiday Crafts and Cheer with Seniors on Friday, Dec. 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Palm Ridge location, 2330 Palm Ridge Road, Unit 17, Sanibel.
Sponsored by Logical Insurance Solutions, the afternoon will give participants an opportunity to make handmade holiday decorations to take home, enjoy holiday music and share cookies, hot chocolate and conversation. FISH will provide all craft materials. No crafting experience is necessary. To register, visit https://craftswithseniors.rsvpify.com/.
For FISH, the afternoon is another opportunity to bring island seniors together, especially during a season when companionship and connection can be just as important as the celebrations themselves.
“The holidays are a wonderful time to get together, catch up with old friends and make some new ones,” said Erika Arnowitz, FISH Senior Services Director. “We wanted to offer something fun and relaxed where everyone can enjoy a few hours together, make something special to take home and celebrate the season.”
Logical Insurance Solutions is helping make the gathering possible through its sponsorship of the event, supporting FISH’s efforts to offer activities that bring older residents together.
“At Logical Insurance Solutions, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful connections and neighbors supporting one another. We’re proud to partner with FISH to help create an opportunity for local seniors to come together, enjoy the holiday season, and experience the sense of friendship and community that makes Southwest Florida such a special place to live,” said Dee Merritt, Broker-President, Licensed Insurance Advisor. More information about Logical Insurance Solutions is available at www.LogicalInsurance.com.
The event is part of FISH’s ongoing Senior Services programming, which offers a variety of activities, educational opportunities and support services for older adults throughout the year. Through programs such as Friendly Faces, social gatherings and other activities, FISH helps island seniors stay active, connected and engaged in their community.
Holiday Crafts and Cheer with Seniors is open to anyone. Space is limited to 25 participants, and advance registration is required. When registering, guests will have the option to make a donation to help FISH continue offering activities and gatherings for island seniors throughout the year.
