FISH of Sanibel-Captiva (FISH) is partnering with local wellness leaders from The Treehouse to offer a restorative, hands-on workshop focused on stress relief, balance, and everyday resilience. The workshop, Rest, Reset & Restore: Practical Tools for Mind–Body Resilience, will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at The Treehouse, located at 1101 Periwinkle Way, Suite #106.
Shelby Stites and Jessica Lidisky will guide participants through simple, practical tools that help calm the nervous system and manage stress in ways that can be carried into everyday life. No prior experience is needed.
The two-hour session blends education with guided practice, including mindfulness meditation, easy-to-use breathwork techniques, and a sound healing experience using crystal singing bowls and gentle instruments. The goal is not perfection or performance, but offering space to slow down, reset, and leave feeling supported and more grounded.
For FISH, the workshop reflects the organization’s broader mission of caring for the whole community—especially as residents continue to navigate the emotional toll of recovery, change, and everyday life on and off the islands. Supporting mental and emotional well-being is an extension of FISH’s work to help neighbors stay healthy, stable, and connected.
“FISH has always believed that resilience isn’t just about getting through the hard moments—it’s about having tools that help to keep you steady along the way,” said Simon Robson, Community Outreach and Resiliency Director at FISH. “This workshop is about allowing folks to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves, which is just as important as meeting practical needs.”
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Those who wish may also bring a blanket, pillow, or eye mask—anything that helps them feel at ease and fully present. All participants should be comfortable sitting on floor cushions, no other seating is provided.
Shelby Stites, founder of The Treehouse, is deeply committed to wellness and community care, with a special focus on Sanibel’s recovery and renewal.
