FISH OF SANCAP is proud to recognize two long-standing community supporters—Periwinkle Park and The Law Office of Janet Strickland—as Silver Sponsors of this year’s JOG N JAM. Their generous support plays a vital role in making the event possible while also strengthening FISH programs that assist neighbors facing food insecurity, financial hardship, and the ongoing challenges of hurricane recovery.
Periwinkle Park is a destination campground on beautiful Sanibel Island, offering accommodations for everything from motorhomes to tents and everything in between. Just a short 10-minute walk—or half a mile—from Sanibel’s iconic white, shell-lined beaches, the Park has welcomed visitors for decades. With its lush grounds and friendly atmosphere, it’s become a beloved part of the island experience and a true local treasure. David Muench, who manages the park with deep family roots on the island, shared his reason for supporting FISH. “Sanibel has always felt like one big family, and FISH embodies that spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. After everything this community has been through—from hurricanes to housing challenges—it feels good to support an organization that shows up for people in so many ways. JOG N JAM is a fun way to bring us together while giving back.”
The Law Office of Janet Strickland has provided legal services with compassion and integrity for over 35 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Florida (1978) and her law degree from University of Denver (J.D. 1989). She passed the Colorado Bar in 1989 and the Florida Bar in 1998. Janet practiced law in Breckenridge, Colorado at the Law Office of J. Albert Bauer, P.C. (1991-1997), and at Florida’s oldest firm Landis Graham French (1998-2003), before opening the Law Office of Janet M. Strickland, P.A., on August 1, 2003 in Port Orange, Fla. In August 2010, Janet opened her law office on Sanibel Island, where she continues to enjoy island life and continued professional success. In 2024, attorney Neva K. Torres joined the law firm after passing the Florida Bar in 2023. Her decision to sponsor JOG N JAM was simple, “FISH is about so much more than services—they offer hope, dignity, and care. I’ve seen firsthand the impact they have on families, seniors, and the workforce here. Supporting JOG N JAM is a way to stand with an organization that stands with this community every single day.”
Leah Winkler, FISH Board Member and Chair of the JOG N JAM Committee, expressed her appreciation for the sponsors’ involvement. “We’re incredibly thankful to Periwinkle Park and The Law Offices of Janet Strickland for stepping up as Silver Sponsors. Their dedication to this community is inspiring. These are organizations that don’t just do business here—they care deeply about the people who live and work here. Their support means the world to FISH, and it helps us extend our reach even further.”
FISH is honored to partner with sponsors who share their mission of making a difference—one neighbor at a time. To learn more about JOG N JAM or how to support the event, visit fishofsancap.org or contact the committee at events@fishofsancap.org.
