As the islands transition into the quieter summer months, FISH OF SANCAP is keeping community connections strong with its next Friendly Faces Luncheon on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:00am at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way.
Held on the second Tuesday of each month, this popular social gathering offers a welcoming space to share a meal, enjoy great conversation, and hear from engaging guest speakers. It’s the perfect way to stay connected—even as many seasonal residents head north for the summer.
This month, guests will hear from LCEC Energy Experts Jason Hoover and Andy Molina, who will share easy and practical ways to reduce energy use during the hottest months of the year. Their presentation includes tips to beat the summer heat, how to analyze energy usage at home, and a Q&A session for personalized advice.
Jason Hoover has been with LCEC’s Energy Services team since 2012 and brings experience as both an electrician and a certified Residential Energy Auditor. He is also a U.S. Army veteran. Andy Molina joined LCEC in 2018 and recently transitioned to the Energy Services team, drawing from his years of experience in the residential energy sector.
Lunch from Sanibel Deli will be served at no cost to guests. “We’re so thankful to Sanibel Deli for helping us each month,” says Erika Arnowitz, FISH Senior Services Director. “Our luncheons continue to be an opportunity for socializing, learning, and sharing a sense of community.”
From wellness topics and hurricane prep to local business and environmental insights, Friendly Faces has featured a wide range of guest speakers over the years. Many guests have made it a regular outing. “There’s always something new to learn, and I love catching up with familiar faces,” says one guest. “Plus, the games are really fun!”
The luncheon is open to all ages and all members of the community—residents, visitors, and workers alike. RSVP is required by Friday, June 6, and meal preferences can be selected during registration.
